about 3 years ago – Sun, May 02, 2021 at 12:09:55 AM

Howdy Survivors,

We hope everyone is safe and well!

We have some resin samples of the Survivors from the Undead or Alive core box to share today!

Before however, we have a quick update on the Pledge Manager date. It's now estimated to be released sometime around June. The release of our Pledge Managers is usually defined by looking into each project's needs individually, and taking into consideration the main dates for Zombicide: Undead or Alive, releasing around June would be better, and so we decided to give more room between the campaign's end and the system release. But don't fret, production is chugging along as planned and you'll be able to have a look at more components and assets in the meantime.

Now, let's get to the pictures!

The Dice and Dashboard
about 3 years ago – Sat, Apr 03, 2021 at 01:07:28 AM

Howdy Survivors,

We hope everyone has been doing well! As we enter a new month, preparations for the Pledge Manager are still ongoing, and as stated on previous update, it is still expected to open sometime this month. We will keep you posted once we have a date!

Apart from that, we keep working on the game pre-production, and some samples have begun arriving at the office. Among them, we have the wooden dice and dashboards that will be found in the Zombicide: Undead or Alive core box.

The wood grain gives each of the dice a unique look and texture while and the symbols that represent each card suit are pressed into the surface in a vibrant red.

We've also received the resin version of the dashboard. It features 3 kinds of slots of items (backpack, hands and favorite weapon) and a slot for the ID card. The standing card slots are arranged horizontally so that all items that a Survivor has can be viewed at a glance.

The sculpted wood grain adds to its western charm.

In addition, the slots for item cards have a slanted portion so that players can pick up the cards more easily by simply pressing down on the card and slot!

Press down for an easier pick up!

This sample, however, is still missing the thematic dynamite and wick design that represents how many adrenaline points a Survivor has and its flame tracker, that will be in the final version of the dashboard:

That's all for this week!

Happy trails to you, 'till we meet again.

And so it begins...

Howdy Survivors,

Hope everyone has been doing well! Since the campaign had concluded, we've been working on getting the Pledge Manager up and running, which is expected to open sometime in April, as well as moving forward with the pre-production work and finalizing some assets.

Among those assets, we have the lovely Cactus Queen in her full spiny glory. Here's a render of her majesty's final sculpt!

3D Render of Cactus Queen, sculpted by BigChild Creatives.

A little backstory: The idea of the Cactus Queen was initially conceived when a backer described the shadow of the Fat Mace looking like a cactus. The notion soon caught on and we saw many comments across the campaign rooting for the Cactus Queen's arrival!

Where it all began.

That's all for now, but in our next update, we'll take a closer look at some of the other components that go into the Undead or Alive core box!

Happy trails to you, 'till we meet again.

The West Has Been Braved!
about 3 years ago – Fri, Mar 12, 2021 at 07:02:04 PM

Howdy, Survivors!

Today our brave journey across the West comes to its end. And we couldn't have been in this amazing journey if it wasn't for you and for your support!

From all of us here at CMON and Guillotine Games, we’d like to thank you! We can’t wait for you to get your copies and enjoy fighting zombies in the West for years to come!

But wait, we were still pushing to reach the last Stretch Goal, for extra copies of the Most Wanted Daily Duel zombies. Although we didn't reach the Goal we are going to go ahead and unlock it anyway to celebrate such a great campaign!

The result of the poll is in:

The Most Wanted were:

  • Soldier
  • Mariachi
  • Miner
  • Gunslinger

Back on update #83 we first unveiled the Cactus Queen, and while we are still working on it, we'd like to share a work in progress image of how the sculpting's coming along for her!

The Cactus Queen compared to Doug, from Zombicide 2nd Edition.

We will continue to work on her as this is just a first WIP, and will share more of her development in future updates.

Well, the campaign is over, so what’s the next step?

We’ll use your pledge information to populate an account on our Pledge Manager, and when that’s complete we’ll send you a link at the email address you have registered on Kickstarter. On the pledge manager, you will be able to specify which items you want, pay for additional items and also for shipping. In case you have any trouble processing your payment at the end of the campaign, please visit the Kickstarter’s FAQ Page. We reproduce here the pertinent section:

A project I’m backing just succeeded and my card was declined. What do I do?

If your pledge was declined, just log in to Kickstarter and click the “Fix payment” button in the banner at the top of your screen. This will guide you through the process of changing your payment method. We’ll also send you an email every 48 hours with a direct link to correct the issue. Don’t delay, however: backers have 7 days to resolve payment issues before they are dropped from the project. Here are things to look into:

1. Check that you entered a valid credit card number and the correct expiration date. Make sure the card hasn’t expired.

2. Confirm that your billing address and phone number are correct.

3. Make sure you haven’t exceeded the credit limit on your card. If everything checks out, it’s possible your bank put a hold on the charge. Please contact your bank to authorize the pledge. Once you’ve cleared up any issues with your bank or card, you’ll still need to follow the “Fix Payment” link to retry your pledge.

And what is coming next, CMON?

What’s neXt for CMON on Kickstarter? Well, something very eXciting. To get a sneak preview of our next campaign, you can check out the CMON Facebook page right now!

Happy trails to you, ’til we meet again.
